SALIVARY DUCT ANTIBODIES - serum

Specimen: 5 mL blood in plain tube.

Method: IF.

Application: Test is of limited diagnostic value in Sjögren syndrome.

Interpretation: Salivary duct antibodies are detected in approximately 50% of patients with Sjögren syndrome associated with rheumatoid arthritis.
